COPY LETTER from Thompson and Hill to Lewis Kennedy esq, says that J.H.Thompson has rented the Cae Coch pyrites mine and expected to see him there but found he was away. Refers to the Clause of provision on a Take Note rent by Mr. Robert Owens. He fears that parts of this may be misinterpreted and thinks it better to pay Lord Gwydir 1/8th profits on pyrites rock and all other mineral or metallic ores which may be found there. In case the letter does not reach him in Scotland the copy letter is being sent to Mr. Robert Owens of Trefriw, Llanrwst, with a covering letter.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
