William Jones paternal grandfather of Miss Maggie Jones c.1900 (see XM/T/232). W.J. lived in 40 Ambrose Street, Hirael and was employed as a leather-worker in Pen Lon Slate Works, repairing drive belts. He also had a workshop in the back kitchen of his home where he worked as a saddler and cobbler. [Neg 7/54/20A, 21A]
