LETTER: Maud Wynne Finch, 11 Bruton Street, W.1 to Mr. Rochfort, thanking him for sending his book. She says that both Edmund and Nell have read it and the latter does not believe the story. Maud recounts the story she was told of Mr. Jeffreys rescuing Lord Cahir from a seminary at Louraine, and remembers a picture of Lord Cahir done on the terrace at Versailles, that used to hang over the dining room chimney piece, and says that the man in the full length picture by David must be the father of the man who went to Louraine. She regrets the fact that no one seems to know anything about family history or things.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
