Seiri meini a chrefftwyr eraill o Chwarel y Gwylwyr yn adeiladu’ r eglwys newydd yn Nefyn tua 1901-1902. Mae’r gweithwyr yn eistedd tu fewn yn union o dan y ffenestr fawr orllewinol gyda’r brif fynedfa ar y chwith i’r darlun. Dechreuwyd gwneud trefniadau i gael eglwys newydd tra bu’r Parch. R.T. Jones yn ficer y plwyf (1888-1897). Wedi i’r Parch J.J. Ellis ddod yn beriglor yn 1898 y dechreuwyd adeiladu. Cysegrwyd Eglwys Dewi Sant gan Esgob Bangor ym Mehefin 1904. The workers are sitting inside, directly beneath the western great window with the main entrance to the left of the picture. Arrangements for a new chruch were started while the Rev. R.T. Jones was the parish vicar (1888-1897). The construction work started after the Rev. J.J. Ellis became the incumbent in 1898. St David’s Church was consecrated by the Bishop of Bangor in June 1904.]
