Aeriel view of Penyrorsedd Quarry, lower left the village of Nantlle, upper right the road leading from Cesarea to Fron. The last pit to work was the one over on the top right known as Eureka. Y Brig is a little lower in the picture. The sheds centre show Bonc yr Offis - this is where the administrative offices, carpenters ship, smithy, fitting shop, hospital etc. were situated. The lower sheds, Bonc Isa, were the first to close down. These sheds were used during the 2nd World War to store ammunition. Centre left is the Penybryn Quarry. In the shed shown here were held many eisteddfodau. Top left part of Cilgwyn Quarry, believed to be the first quarry in the area.
