Presentation by representatives of the Maelgwn Male Voice Choir to Councillor Gerallt Llewelyn, Chairman of Gwynedd County Council’s Recreation Amenities and Culture Committee of a colour photograph of Kibbuts Ramat David named after David Lloyd George, 20 Jan.1989. The choir visited Israel in Oct. 1988 where it was presented with the photograph of Kibbuts Ramat David. Daily Post journalist Ivor Wynne Jones, who accompanied the choir, researched and published an account of the links between Wales and Israel. A copy of this book, entitled Wales and Israel, specially bound in calf skin by the Conservation Officer of the Gwynedd Archives and Museums Service, Mr. Robert G. Williams, was also presented at this ceremony.
